Michael "Grinder" Mizrachi is the 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event champion. Mizrachi topped the 9,735-entrant field to take home the $10,000,000 first-place prize and his eighth WSOP bracelet.
Mizrachi achieved the monumental feat of winning the two most prestigious events at this year's WSOP. He won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for an unprecedented fourth time, and then capped that with the Main Event win. Following his victory, members of the Poker Hall of Fame celebrated with Mizrachi and inducted him into the Poker Hall of Fame, joining Nick Schulman as 2025 inductees.
The final day of play would see four players return with Mizrachi holding 76% of the chips in play. On the first hand, Kenny Hallaert pushed all-in with ace-queen and Mizrachi called with king-jack. The jack on the turn ended Hallaert's run in fourth, and on the next hand, Braxton Dunaway departed. Dunaway called all-in from the big blind with ten-six suited to be against Mizrachi's ace-ten suited. Mizrachi flopped a straight and flush draw, and filled his flush on the river to send Dunaway out in third place.
Heads-up play began with Mizrachi holding a 491 million to 93.5 million chip advantage over John Wasnock. Wasnock chipped away at Mizrachi's lead, but a hand that saw both players flop top pair would play out where Mizrachi improved on the river with a runner-runner straight to see Wasnock drop to roughly 20 big blinds. Wasnock sniffed out a Mizrachi bluff before the final hand saw Wasnock raise the button and flop top two pair. Mizrachi defended his big blind with ten-three of clubs and flopped a flush draw. Both players checked through to see a club on the turn. The rest of the money went in, and when Wasnock was unable to improve to a full house, he was eliminated in second place, and Mizrachi was crowned the 2025 WSOP Main Event champion.
