The second half of the 2025 PGT season began with an action-packed September featuring three series and 20 PGT-qualifying events. The first-ever PGT Bounty Blitz and PGT Venetian Las Vegas Classic were followed by the Poker Masters and the debut of the $1,000,000 Showcase.

Michael Mizrachi closed out the WSOP on top of the PGT leaderboard, and although he participated in the PGT Bounty Blitz, he was unable to secure his third cash to qualify him for the PGT $1,000,000 Championship. Alex Foxen picked up a win and another cash at the Poker Masters to reclaim top spot on the PGT leaderboard with 2,561 PGT points, and in the process of notching up his 10th career PGT title, his runner-up finish in Event #8 earned him his 100th career PGT cash - the first player in PGT history to accomplish this milestone.

Sam Soverel added two cashes and sits with 1,939 PGT points to remain in third place, while Nick Schulman added four cashes to sit with 1,921 PGT points to remain in fourth place. Daniel Negreanu didn't play any PGT events during September and dropped from fifth to seventh on the PGT leaderboard. Taking his place in fifth is Chino Rheem with 1,743 PGT points. Rheem won a PGT Bounty Blitz event and a Poker Masters title, to take his season tally to four PGT wins and 21 cashes. He now has 1,743 PGT points and sits ahead of Adam Hendrix on 1,610 PGT points after he earned two cashes during the Poker Masters.

Andrew Lichtenbger collected seven cashes throughout September and moved into eighth on the PGT leaderboard with 1,516 PGT points. He bumped WSOP Main Event runner-up John Wasnock down to ninth place. Wasnock earned a cash in the PGT Venetian Las Vegas Classic $3,300 Main Event, and now needs just one more cash like Mizrachi to be eligible to participate in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

Rounding out the top ten on the PGT leaderboard is Jesse Lonis with 1,326 PGT points. Lonis earned three cashes at the Poker Masters, and will now have his favorite series on deck where he is the defending series champion.

Other big movers following September include Mike Zulker (17th - 1,187 PGT points), Andrew Ostapchenko (38th - 949 PGT points), Darren Elias (48th - 861 PGT points), Jeremy Ausmus (57th - 788 PGT points), David Chen (59th - 776 PGT points), Andrew Moreno (65th - 760 PGT points), and David Coleman (74th - 713 PGT points). These players are all within striking distance of reaching the Top 40 and qualifying for the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.
