VIP Event Marks Opening Of New “Onyx Club”

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 17, 2024) — PokerGO®, in partnership with the Onyx Club, Merit Royal Cyprus, is pleased to announce the return of Super High Roller Bowl. Taking place this summer in North Cyprus, the prestigious, ultra-high-stakes extravaganza lands at the luxurious Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa from August 23-25, 2024, and will be paired in celebration with the grand opening of the resort’s lavish new Onyx Club. Super High Roller Bowl is part of the full Super High Roller Bowl Series spanning August 17-25, 2024.

Merit’s new Onyx Club is an exclusive invite-only members club focusing on high-stakes poker and gaming. Housed in the purpose-built Onyx Room at Merit Cyprus it offers the ultimate poker experience for high-stakes players.

Super High Roller Bowl IX is the richest event on the 2024 PokerGO Tour® (PGT®) schedule. Featuring a $300,000 buy-in, seven-handed play, and a freezeout format, Super High Roller Bowl IX will represent the game’s most high-profile competitors.

The full series boasts 10 events with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $300,000. All events are freezeouts. The schedule includes both no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha events, and two events have a $25,000 mystery bounty format. Action for each event will begin inside the Merit Royal Diamond function rooms before play transitions to the brand new modern set inside the Onyx Club for final tables.

All events qualify for the PGT. Players finishing in the money from Super High Roller Bowl Series tournaments will earn valuable PGT leaderboard points. The top 40 players ranked by the PGT leaderboard will be eligible to compete in the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 Freeroll.
