Stephen Hubbard Leads Texas PLO Roundup Main Event Final Table
The Texas PLO Roundup concluded today at Champions Club in Houston, Texas, with the final event of the series, Event #9: PGT PLO High Roller #3. The $5,000 buy-in drew 13 entrants and created a prize pool worth $65,000. Multi-time PGT event winner Bryce Yockey defeated Jordan Glazer heads-up to claim the $45,500 first-place prize, 46 PGT points, and the coveted Belt Buckle trophy.
Yockey's had a solid series. He collected a runner-up finish in High Roller #2 and a 25th-place finish in the PLO Roundup Main Event to improve his position on the PGT season-long leaderboard to 27th. Here, his aggressive style allowed him to build momentum early, chipping up and eliminating Jim Collopy to move past 300,000, followed by busting Bruno Furth and Brevin Andreadis in the same hand to double his stack to 600,000. He then eliminated Clayton Olevra and Philip Shing to approach 900,000.
His lead dissipated later in the event after a few big pots didn't go his way, and he lost the chip lead for the first time after obtaining it when Glazer was drawing thin in an all-in pot and drilled the last nine in the deck on the river to double. Yockey then failed to get a bluff through against Glazer a few hands afterward, but regained control by eliminating Christopher Costa on the bubble, and extracted full value with the nut-flush against Glazer in a big pot reminiscent of the earlier failed bluff attempt, where Yockey led for pot on the river after a lot of draws completed.
The tournament ended when Glazer three-bet Yockey’s button open and the two played for stacks on a Q-J-7 all-spade flop. Glazer held aces, but Yockey had flopped a flush, and the board ran out clean to secure Yockey the win.
At the season's end, the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for the PGT Championship. The 2025 PGT $1,000,000 Championship will be a $1,000,000 freeroll with a $500,000 first-place prize. Along with the top 40 eligible players, limited PGT Championship "Dream Seat” winners will be awarded through special events and promotions. Information on the Dream Seat promotions can be found here.
