Neil Warren Wins PGT Last Chance Event #4: $10,100 No-Limit Hold'em
The PGT Last Chance continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #4: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The 126-entrant field was whittled down to just seven players by the early hours of Friday morning, and Landon Tice leads the way with 3,635,000.
Behind Tice is Sergio Aido, who led Thursday's final table, but will enter Friday's second in chips with 2,705,000. Rounding out the podium is Matthew Wantman, who made the final table in Event #1 and will bring 2,460,000 with him this time.
Tice found himself in a blind vs blind confrontation with Christian Roberts shortly after the close of late registration, where he won a big flip with pocket eights to Roberts' ace-jack suited, eliminating Roberts and bringing his stack to the 1,500,000 chip mark. Tice would continue to build from there, accumulating through pure aggression on the money bubble and eliminating Justin Zaki to cross the 2,000,000 chip mark. Tice then busted Sam Soverel to cross 3,000,000, and chipped up further from there to end the night at the top of the counts.
The seven players have $50,400 locked up, but all eyes will be on the $315,000 first-place prize, 315 PGT points, and the PGT Gold Cup.
It was another huge turnout, as the field tied the second-largest $10,000 buy-in event at the PokerGO Studio, creating a prize pool worth $1,260,000. The final 18 players all earned a piece of it after Andrew Lichtenberger was eliminated on the bubble when his ace-nine couldn't hold against the king-jack of Stephen Chidwick. Jeremy Becker (18th), Andrew Ostapchenko (17th), Brian Batt (16th), Brock Wilson (15th), Dan Shak (14th), Sam Soverel (13th), Shannon Shorr (12th), Clemen Deng (11th), Chidwick (10th), Connor Rash (9th), and Kiat Lee (8th) all fell in the money.
Rounding out the final table are Chino Rheem and David Coleman, who've both made their second final tables of the series (Rheem's second in a row), PokerGO regular Neil Warren, and former Poker Masters champion Jim Collopy.
On the final hand of the night, Aido shoved the small blind against the short stack of Kiat Lee, who called in the big blind. Lee held nine-eight offsuit to the queen-nine offsuit of Aido. The board ran out in favor of Aido, and the seven remaining players bagged up to return for the final day.
PGT Last Chance is the concluding series of the 2025 PGT season and gives players their final opportunity to accumulate PGT points to qualify for the season-ending PGT $1,000,000 Championship, which is open to the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard. Players who have already secured a seat in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship can improve their position on the PGT leaderboard and simultaneously improve their starting stack.
PGT Last Chance will also have its own dedicated leaderboard where a Dream Seat will be awarded to the top five point earners who do not finish among the eligible Top 40 on the PGT leaderboard. This Dream Seat will give the player who earns it direct entry into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship with a 125-big-blind starting stack.
Patrick Leonard currently leads the way, but Coleman can overtake him with a fourth-place finish or better. Aido would need a second or better, and Rheem and Wantman can do it with a win.
