The victory marked the first PGT win in Zavorotnijs' career. It was also his second-largest live tournament score to date, according to TheHendonMob.com. Zavorotnijs topped Bin Weng in heads-up play in the NAPT Las Vegas High Roller, finishing in first place from a field of 158 entries.
In addition to besting Weng in the final duel, Zavorotnijs had to get through Sam Laskowitz, Barry Woods, PGT Venetian Las Vegas Classic champion Daniel Lee, Kristen Foxen, Isaac Haxton, and Aram Oganyan at the final table.

Although Vitalijs Zavorotnijs earned enough points to move to the top of the NAPT Las Vegas Dream Seat Leaderboard, he did not secure the qualifying number of cashes to become eligible for leaderboard prizes. Players must cash at least twice in order to win leaderboard prizes; therefore, the NAPT Las Vegas Dream Seat goes to Nick Petrangelo. Petrangelo cashed twice, finishing second in the $10,000 Mystery Bounty and winning the $20,000 Super High Roller Warm Up.
