Sam Soverel Second to Reach 100 Career PGT Cashes

Sam Soverel has etched his name into PokerGO Tour® (PGT®) history as the second player ever to record 100 career PGT cashes. Soverel secured the milestone during the 2025 PokerStars NAPT Las Vegas series at Resorts World when he cashed in Event #13: $10,200 No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha, finishing in second place to lock up his 100th in-the-money result on the PGT.

Soverel's first PGT cash came in February 2021 when he won a $10,000 ARIA High Roller for $68,736. That debut season became the benchmark for Soverel's consistency on the PGT, where he finished fifth in 2021, 26th in 2022, seventh in 2023, 25th in 2024, and, with 23 events remaining in the 2025 PGT season, he currently sits in second. 

Although Soverel has not been crowned the champion of a PGT series, he has two series wins before the PGT's 2021 inauguration. In 2019, Soverel was crowned the British Poker Open champion after winning two events and finishing runner-up in two events. The following month, Soverel would be crowned the Poker Masters Purple Jacket winner after winning two events and cashing seven times.
