The 2026 PGT season continued with its second series of the season, with PGT Mixed Games taking center stage in the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a familiar face emerging victorious in Event #1: $5,100 H.O.R.S.E. as Chino Rheem won his ninth career PGT title, and third career PGT Mixed Games title.
Rheem collected $112,100 in prize money and 193 PGT points to move to the top of the PGT Mixed Games leaderboard. His ninth career PGT title breaks a seven-way tie that Rheem held with Jeremy Ausmus, Chris Brewer, Andrew Lichtenberger, Sean Perry, Justin Bonomo, and Michael Addamo, as players who have won eight career PGT titles. Rheem now stands alone in fifth overall behind Sam Soverel (13), Alex Foxen (12), Stephen Chidwick (12), and Daniel Negreanu (11).
The opening event of PGT Mixed Games attracted 101 entrants and created a prize pool that paid the final 15 players. Following the elimination of Patrick Leonard on the money bubble, Tim Frazin, Phil Hui, Ari Engel, Jesse Lonis, Brian Rast, and Richie Sklar were a handful of those who cashed but were eliminated prior to the final table. Brian Breck was the overall chip leader of the final seven, but he was facing tough competition that included Rheem, Poker Hall of Famer Eli Elezra, PGT $1,000,000 Championship, and SHRB Mixed Games winner Chad Eveslage, Alex Livingston, Dylan Linde, and Matt Vengrin.
Eveslage was the first to fall when he was all-in in Omaha Hi-Lo with a flush and backdoor low draw against the top set of Linde. The board bricked, and Eveslage finished in seventh place. Elezra fell in sixth in an orbit of Razz when his three-to-a-seven bricked out against Rheem, who finished with an eight-six low. Overnight chip leader Breck would be eliminated in fifth place when his queens-up in Stud Hi-Lo was scooped by Linde's straight-seven.
A short-stacked Matt Vengrin was all-in with king-jack in Limit Hold'em against the nine-eight of Linde. Linde flopped a gutshot and rivered a pair to eliminate Vengrin in fourth place. Livingston was all-in on third street in Stud and finished with just ace-high, while Rheem made open kings to eliminate the Canadian. Linde took the chip lead into heads-up play with 8.7 million to Rheem's 6.5 million. Both players battled through several games before making a heads-up deal for the prize money before continuing to play for the PGT Mixed Games trophy.
Rheem surged ahead when he scooped a Stud hand with queens-up, before the final hand occurred during Stud Hi-Lo. Linde began with buried eights and improved to trips on fourth street, while Rheem made split tens on fourth, then aces up on fifth, and then tens-full on sixth. Linde was all-in on sixth street drawing to the case eight, and when he didn't hit his one-outer, he was eliminated in second place for $100,000 and Rheem earned his ninth career PGT title and third PGT Mixed Games trophy, $112,100 in prize money, and 193 PGT points.
