Since launching last month, PokerGO has changed the way people around the world consume poker. Poker’s premier subscription service gives fans of the game access to exclusive live streams from the world’s biggest events, including the Super High Roller Bowl and World Series of Poker.
As the one stop shop for poker programming, PokerGO also has numerous original content offerings and later this summer, that library is expanding. Poker Central has partnered with Believe Entertainment Group to create and produce a six-episode, short-form comedy series, Poker Nights, starring former Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock alumnus, Chris Parnell.
The scripted series’ cast includes a shuffling of both establish and up-and-coming comedic talent and special guest appearances from professional poker players, including the “Poker Brat” himself, Phil Hellmuth. The series follows a group of “best-ish” friends and the oddball guests that filter in and out of their weekly, neighborhood poker game.
Poker Nights deals a comedic look at poker for Poker Central’s fans and will premiere on PokerGO later this summer. The partnership with Believe Entertainment Group doesn’t stop there though, as it also includes the creation of 200 pieces of short-form video across a wide variety of formats including sketches, animation, how-tos, lists and more.
These short-form videos will help showcase the poker world and the lifestyle around it, while anchoring Poker Central’s social content strategy with daily distribution on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
Until Poker Nights launches later this summer, stay tuned to PokerGO for exclusive WSOP live streams and original content, including brand new Pokerography episodes.
