While it wasn’t exactly wire-to-wire for Sean Winter, it was about as close as you could get in his victory in PGT PLO Series Event #5: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty. Winter started the day with the chip lead, and though he briefly dropped from the top spot, he never seemed to let off the gas on his way to the title. By the end of the day, Winter had amassed not only all the chips but also $155,000 in bounties and the top spot on the 2025 PGT PLO Series Leaderboard.

The day started quickly as Jesse Lonis found himself short, and just a few hands later, eliminated from the tournament in fifth place. Lonis got all his chips in the pot in a massive four-way hand against Nick Palma, Sam Soverel, and Taylor Wilson. Palma raised, Lonis moved all in, Soverel called, and Wilson called before Palma moved all in as well. Soverel called both shoves while Wilson got out of the way. Lonis was holding kings, but they were quickly cracked when Palma made the nut flush on the turn to nearly triple up and collect the bounty.

The chips didn’t stop flying. Wilson was eliminated just a few hands later when his two pair couldn’t fade Sean Winter’s massive draw. Winter hit the river to make a flush, sending Wilson out in fourth place. Winter would send Palma out not long after that as well. Both players reached the river on a board of , and Winter checked over to Palma, who bluffed all in. Winter quickly called with the last , sending Palma to the rail in third place for $73,100.

Sam Soverel managed to nearly even the stacks in heads-up play, but after one massive confrontation, it was all over. Winter three-bet preflop with , and Soverel called holding . Winter went bet, bet, bet as the board rolled out , and Soverel called down with his straight only to be shown the nut flush. Just like that, it was over.

For the win, Winter earned $122,300 along with $155,000 in bounties collected over the course of the tournament. He also earned 253 PGT points, vaulting him well into the lead of the 2025 PGT PLO Series Leaderboard with a total of 416 PGT points, four cashes, one win, and $285,100 in total winnings (not including those $155,000 in bounties). He quickly hopped into PGT PLO Series Event #6: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha, where he’ll look to extend that lead even further.
