The 2025 PGT PLO Series II continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday with Event #6: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha. The tournament drew 88 entries and Frederic Normand leads the final four players.
Normand leads a final table that includes Matthew Wantman, Bryce Yockey, and Brevin Andreadis. These four players will return on Tuesday already guaranteed $79,200, while all eyes will be on the $237,600 first-place prize, in addition to 238 PGT points and the Event #6 trophy.
The field of 88 entrants created a prize pool of $88,000 and the final 13 players earned a piece. Stefan Christopher was the unfortunate bubble boy when his top two pair with a flush draw ran into Brian Breck's top set. No help came for Christopher and Breck had about a third of the chips in play with 13 left. Following the elimination of Michael Duek (13th), a missed wrap and the wrong side of set-over-set led to Breck falling in 12th. Jeremy Ausmus (11th), Alex Foxen (10th), Artem Maksimov (9th), and Joao Simao (8th) also cashed in the event prior to the final table.
Andjelko Andrejevic busted in seventh place, Christopher Frank in sixth place, and Evan Krentzman fell in fifth place. It was the final elimination of the day that saw Normand take the chip lead. He flop top two pair with a staight-flush draw, facing Krentzman's ace-high flush draw. The turn sealed the deal with the perfect card for Normand, giving him a straight flush to seize the chip lead.
Normand is currently in 17th place on the series leaderboard, but is already primed to move up into the top 10 and as high as second place. Up top for the leaderboard winner is a PGT Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport.
