The 2025 PGT PLO Series II continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday with Event #5: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty. The tournament drew 106 entries and Sean Winter leads the final five players.
Winter was among the shorter stacks with 13 players remaining, but found a crucial double and bounty win in a three-way all-in when he flopped a flush. A little while later, Winter was on the right side of a set-over-set cooler and doubled again. He followed that by scoring a double elimination to add to his already impressive progressive bounty total. Winter leads a final table that includes Sam Soverel, Taylor Wilson, Jesse Lonis, and Nicholas Palma. These five players will return on Monday already guaranteed $41,700, while all eyes will be on the $122,300 first-place prize in addition to the bounties, 253 PGT points, and the Event #5 trophy.
In this progressive bounty format, when you eliminate another player, you receive half of their bounty as a cash prize, while the other half goes towards increasing your own bounty.
The field of 106 entrants created a prize pool of $1,060,000. Forty percent of it was set aside for the bounties and the final 16 players earned a piece of the regular prize pool. Brevin Andreadis was the unfortunate bubble boy when his aces were beaten postflop against Sean Rafael's pair and straight draw. John Riordan (16th), Sean Troha (15th), Arthur Morris (14th), Michael Wang (13th), Frederic Normand (12th), Ronald Keijzer (11th), and Dylan Linde (10th) were among those to cash in the event.
Following Chino Rheem's elimination in ninth place, Winter scored a double knockout of Sean Rafael in eighth place and Stephen Hubbard in seventh place to combine the field to a final table of six players. Kamel Mokhammad then fell in sixth place, picking up his third cash of the series through five events.
Winter is currently in fifth place on the series leaderboard and is already guaranteed to be in the top three, in addition to being in the pole position to take the lead. Lonis is currently second on the leaderboard and can also cement his status at the top. Soverel and Palma each grabbed their second cashes of the series, while Wilson notched his first. Up top for the leaderboard winner is a PGT Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport.
