Alex Foxen Dominating

Already the record-holder for the most PGT cashes with 98, and sitting second on the PGT All-Time Points leaderboard, Alex Foxen continues to build on his legacy by climbing to the top of yet another category. Foxen now holds the record for the most final table appearances in PGT history with 72, a testament to his consistency and dominance in high-stakes poker.

From those 72 final tables, Foxen has turned in nine outright victories, but what truly stands out is his ability to repeatedly contend deep. He has reached the podium 40 times, which includes 15 runner-up finishes and 16 third-place results. This balance of wins, seconds, and thirds underscores not just his talent, but also his staying power against the toughest opponents in the game.

Foxen’s ability to consistently navigate massive fields and elite lineups into final-table contention cements his reputation as one of the most reliable performers on the PGT. Whether it’s piling up cashes, climbing the points race, or now setting the pace for final tables, Foxen continues to define the standard of success on the PGT.

Stephen Chidwick Converts Opportunities

Although trailing Foxen in PGT final tables by six, Stephen Chidwick has the same number of podium finishes as Foxen with 40. This shows Chidwick converts at a higher rate when he reaches the final table as he has ten career PGT victories, 12 runner-up finishes, and 18 third-place finishes. Chidwick is the PGT All-Time Points leader with 9,796 and has the third most career PGT cashes with 93.

While Stephen Chidwick trails Alex Foxen by six in PGT final table appearances (66 to Foxen’s 72), he has proven just as effective — if not more so — once he gets there. Matching Foxen’s total of 40 podium finishes, Chidwick demonstrates an exceptional ability to convert deep runs into top-three results. His résumé includes 10 career PGT victories, edging out Foxen’s win total, along with 12 runner-up finishes and 18 third-place results.

This conversion rate highlights Chidwick’s hallmark consistency and elite endgame skills. When he reaches the final stages of a tournament, he frequently positions himself as a serious threat to close it out. Beyond his final table prowess, Chidwick also sits as the PGT All-Time Points leader with 9,796, showcasing his unmatched volume of success across multiple seasons. He also ranks third in career PGT cashes with 93, further cementing his reputation as one of the most dominant and reliable high-stakes players in poker history.

Ausmus, Soverel, Winter, Negreanu on the Chase

Just behind Foxen and Chidwick is a tightly packed group of elite contenders: Jeremy Ausmus (63), Sam Soverel (62), Sean Winter (60), and Daniel Negreanu (59). All four have built reputations as consistent performers on the PokerGO Tour, each bringing a unique mix of experience, volume, and closing ability.

Soverel stands out as the most prolific closer among them. From his 62 final tables, he has reached the podium 30 times, including 12 career victories — the most in PGT history. His ability to repeatedly convert opportunities into wins makes him one of the toughest finishers in high-stakes poker. Negreanu, meanwhile, continues to showcase his adaptability in modern fields filled with younger competition. From his 59 final tables, he has earned 11 career PGT wins, the second-most all time, alongside six runner-up finishes and 11 third-place results. Negreanu’s ability to stay relevant and dominant over decades speaks volumes about his enduring skill and competitive spirit.

Ausmus, the 2024 PGT Player of the Year, has emerged as one of the most consistent grinders in recent seasons. Ranking third overall in final tables with 63, he has converted those appearances into 26 podium finishes and seven wins. While his win count trails some of his rivals, Ausmus’s volume and steady deep runs keep him among the most dangerous players in any series. Winter also remains a fixture at the highest levels, with 60 final tables and a reputation for poise under pressure. Though he trails slightly in podium conversions compared to Soverel and Negreanu, his consistent ability to navigate stacked fields to the final stages highlights his place among the PGT elite.
