Below is a breakdown of the latest all-time standings heading into the second half of the 2025 PGT season, and what they mean for the future of the PGT.

Stephen Chidwick On Top

With 9,796 PGT points, Stephen Chidwick leads the PGT All-Time Points race. Chidwick has been a dominant force in high-stakes poker tournaments for years, and his consistency on the PGT has seen him sit at the top. Named the 2022 PGT Player of the Year, Chidwick has always been a fixture on series leaderboards and always a favorite to repeat as PGT Player of the Year when the season begins. Chidwick is only 204 PGT points from becoming the first player to reach 10,000 PGT points, and if he is in Las Vegas throughout the upcoming months, he'll likely reach that landmark in September at the 2025 Poker Masters.

Alex Foxen Close Behind

Sitting on the heels of Chidwick is Alex Foxen with 9,528 PGT points. He trails Chidwick by only 268 PGT points and needs just 472 PGT points to reach 10,000 PGT points. Foxen is one of the most feared players on the PGT, known for his aggressive style and relentless approach to the game. He is more likely to be playing a full PGT schedule than Chidwick, and thus might be a slight favorite to hit the 10,000 PGT points milestone before Chidwick.

Negreanu, Ausmus, and Soverel Chasing

The battle for the last podium spot is equally intense with Sam Soverel (8,706 PGT points), Daniel Negreanu (8,652 PGT points), and Jeremy Ausmus (8,453 PGT points). All three are among the highest-volume players on the PGT, and although reaching the 10,000 PGT points milestone might be a stretch, all three can conclude this PGT season being within reach of that milestone heading into the 2026 PGT season.

What Events Remain in the 2025 PGT Season?

More than 50 PGT events are remaining in the season to give players a wide variety of buy-ins and options to increase their PGT points tally. Two new series make their PGT debut with PGT Bounty Blitz, running from September 1-6, and the PGT Venetian Las Vegas Classic, running from September 11-16. PGT Bounty Blitz will include six $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em events with a variety of different bounty formats. The PGT Venetian Las Vegas Classic will include four events. There are three one-day $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Rollers from September 14-16, while the marquee $3,300 buy-in Main Event has three starting flights from September 11-13 and includes a $1,000,000 prize pool guarantee.

The Poker Masters returns from September 19 to October 2 and will include the Poker Masters $1,000,000 Showcase, featuring two starting flights and a $1,000,000 prize pool guarantee. There are ten events and the player who accumulates the most PGT points throughout the series will be awarded the Poker Masters Purple Jacket and a $25,000 PGT Passport. The PGT PLO Series returns from October 10-22 with ten events, while the Super High Roller Series will run from October 23-29 with the Super High Roller Bowl: $100k Pot-Limit Omaha running from October 23-25 and Super High Roller Bowl X running from October 27-29. There will also be four one-day High Rollers on October 24-25 and October 28-29.

NAPT Las Vegas at Resorts World will feature eight PGT-qualifying events, and there will be a Dream Seat awarded to the player who accumulates the most PGT points in these events. The Dream Seat will fast-track that player directly into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship. The Texas PLO Roundup returns to Champions Club in Houston, Texas, from November 14-24 with the $3,300 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event that includes six starting flights and a $1,000,000 prize pool guarantee. There will also be three $5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha High Rollers from November 22-24. The concluding series of the 2025 PGT season will be PGT Last Chance, held from January 5 to 10, 2026. This event precedes the PGT $1,000,000 Championship, which takes place from January 12 to 13 and is open to the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard.
