CBS Sports Network episodes from the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) are now available on PokerGO.com, with four additional episodes released today for PokerGO subscribers to watch.
The 2021 WSOP was held from September 30 to November 23, 2021, and it would be the final time the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino played host, with the series moving to the Las Vegas Strip for 2022. The first eight episodes captured the highlights from the first two weeks of the series and included five WSOP 2021 bracelet events. The next four episodes will feature two fan-favorite events from the 2021 WSOP including the $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER and the $1,000 Ladies Championship.
Event #17: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER attracted 5,326 entrants and created a massive $7,110,210 prize pool. There would be 799 players that finished in the money, but at this PokerGO-streamed final table, just five players would be eyeing the $1,000,000 first-place prize and coveted WSOP bracelet. Daniel Lazrus entered the final table holding the chip lead and looking to join the elusive group of players that have won two bracelets in a year following his WSOP Online victory in the $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Championship for $205,347.
The opening episode captures preliminary play among the final five at the MILLIONAIRE MAKER final table before Ignacio Moron is eliminated in fifth place. The second episode sees Lazrus still holding the chip lead, and once Jeffrey Gencarelli, Darryl Ronconi, and Michael Gathy are eliminated, Lazrus is crowned the champion and adds his second WSOP bracelet to his collection along with the $1,000,000 first-place prize.
One of the marquee events at the WSOP is the Ladies Championship, and the Event #22: $1,000 Ladies Championship for 2021 attracted 644 entrants and created a prize pool of $573,160. The final five ladies that headlined the PokerGO-streamed final table would be led by Mikiyo Aoki, who was looking for vengeance following her runner-up finish in 2014. Alongside Aoki were JJ Liu, Diane Cooley, Debora Brooke, and Lara Eisenberg. The first episode would see the elimination of Liu, and once the second episode begins, Eisenberg has moved into the chip lead ahead of Brooke.
Aoki's run would end in third place as Eisenberg and Brooke went heads-up. Eventually, it would be Eisenberg emerging victorious to capture the $115,694 first-place prize and her first WSOP bracelet.
