High Roller of the Year: Poker Masters Movers
While experienced players from the business world were featured during this week’s “High Stakes Hybrid” sessions, a new format and structure controlled most of the headlines. Next week, when Poker After Dark returns to PokerGO, there is no debating who or what will control those headlines, as Bill Perkins is set to lead three of the biggest cash games in Poker After Dark history during “Perks of the Trade” week.
The hedge fund manager turned Super High Roller and Twitch streamer extraordinaire dropped a few subtle hints on Twitter this past week about a potential Poker After Dark debut and Perkins will make that debut in a big way.
“Perks of the Trade” week will feature three days of $500/$1,000 No Limit Hold’em cash games, running from Tuesday, October 17 to Thursday, October 19, with each boasting $300,000 minimum buy-ins. Perkins will play all three nights, along with professional sports bettor and experienced high stakes poker player Haralabos Voulgaris and High Roller Aaron Zang.
The rest of the lineup is filled with some of the poker world’s biggest names. Phil Galfond returns for Tuesday’s session, after headlining “PLOMG” week, along with 2015 Super High Roller Bowl champion Brian Rast. Doug Polk and Matt Berkey take their seats for Wednesady’s session, with Poker Masters $50K Prelim winner Brandon Adams and Daniel “Jungleman” Cates slotting in for the “Perks of the Trade” finale on Thursday. There is also an open “TBD” seat for all three nights.
Regardless of who fills that “TBD” slot, “Perks of the Trade” week will feature the highest stakes in Poker After Dark history. The $500/$1,000 No Limit Hold’em cash games break the previous record from “Rumble with Jungle” week, when back-to-back nights of $300/$600 NLH captivated PokerGO fans.
Watch all three days of $500/$1,000 NLH action, exclusively on PokerGO, when Bill Perkins headlines the biggest cash game in Poker After Dark history. “Perks of the Trade” week will run from Tuesday, October 17 to Thursday, October 19, with each stream beginning at 6 PM ET.
Until next week, relive past Poker After Dark episodes on-demand through PokerGO’s event replay library and stay tuned to Poker Central and PokerGO for features, interviews, content, and more from “Perks of the Trade” week.
Poker After Dark lineups and structures are subject to change.
