The Texas PLO Roundup $3,300 Main Event continued from Champions Club in Houston, Texas, on Friday, featuring a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Day 1B was another strong showing as the flight drew 87 entrants, with Stephen Hubbard leading eleven survivors after putting 927,000 chips in the bag. Hubbard began chipping up late in the day, first after eliminating Alex Livingston to cross the 200,000 mark, then clearing 350,000 chips by the close of registration. Hubbard chipped up from there and reached the 600,000 mark after eliminating Jason Bullock and Michael Lehman near the bubble.
Behind Hubbard is Christoph Csik with 623,000, and rounding out the podium is Jared Ingles with 607,000.
A few big names who took their shot to make Day 2, but ultimately fell short, included Bryce Yockey, Bruno Furth, Lawrence Chang, Billy Tarango, Jim Collopy, David Mzareulov, Andrew Ige, LaDarren Banks, and John Wasnock. However, they'll have plenty of chances to get through, as four starting flights still remain.
The unfortunate bubble boy was Mark Ioli, when his flopped two pair were outdrawn by the rivered straight of Ingles. Ioli fell short and was in the big blind when he moved all in for his two remaining big blinds on a king-nine-seven flop, holding king-ten-seven-six. However, the board ran out ace and six, and Ingles queen-ten-eight-eight got there to eliminate Ioli on the stone bubble.
All Day 1 survivors will combine for Day 2 on Sunday, November 23rd, at 3 p.m. CT and be in the money. Prize pool and payout info will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
At the season's end, the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for the PGT Championship. The 2025 PGT $1,000,000 Championship will be a $1,000,000 freeroll with a $500,000 first-place prize. Along with the top 40 eligible players, limited PGT Championship "Dream Seat” winners will be awarded through special events and promotions. Information on the Dream Seat promotions can be found here.
