Sam Soverel Wins 2025 ARIA High Roller Series Event #3 Outright for $122,400

The 2025 ARIA High Roller Series continued on Monday with Event #3: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Emerging victorious was Sam Soverel, winning outright for $122,400 and 122 PGT points. Soverel max late registered and quickly chipped up, finding himself fourth and in the middle of the pack when the final table of seven players, and the money bubble, was reached. Despite two very short stacks as bubble play commenced, Soverel got his chips in with aces against chip leader Gruffudd Pugh-Jones. The aces held up for Soverel, beginning his path to the winner's circle.

The third event of the 2025 ARIA High Roller Series drew a 34-entrant field, setting the prize pool at $340,000. The final six players finished in the money and just missing out was Lautaro Guerra, who ran top two pair and an ace-high flush draw into Pugh-Jones' top set of aces to bubble, sending the remaining six players into the money.

Sean Rafael was the first to fall in the money, followed by Artem Maksimov who fell at the hands of Soverel. It was kings for Maksimov and double-suited aces for Soverel, with the latter coming out ahead.

A legnthy four-handed battle followed and ultimately, Nino Pansier succumbed to Dirk Gerritse and finished in fourth place. Pugh-Jones fell shortly thereafter in third place, also to Gerritse, giving the Dutchman about a 3-to-1 lead to begin heads-up play against Soverel. 

Heads-up play went squarely in Soverel's favor, however, as he quickly erased the deficit and finished it off soon after. On the final hand, Soverel held the nut-flush draw against Gerritse's two pair after the flop. The river delivered the flush for Soverel, giving him the outright victory.
