The 2022 Stairway To Millions continued from The Venetian Resort Las Vegas with Event #8: $5,350 No-Limit Hold'em taking center stage. Today's stage would below to Michael Wang who now has his eyes set on winning fourth career Stairway To Millions title after finishing the day as chip leader.

Wang has already won two events this series and can become the first player to win three in one series and a fourth overall. Standing in Wang's way is a bevy of strong opponents that includes Event #1 winner Francis Anderson, the current leader on the GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year leaderboard Stephen Song, and current second overall on the GPI rankings, Adam Hendrix. The final five players have all locked up $10,038 in prize money and a seat into Event #9: $10,400 No-Limit Hold'em, while the final three players will earn an Event #10: $15,800 No-Limit Hold'em seat. The eventual winner of Event #8 will take home the $60,945 first-place prize and title of Stairway To Millions champion.

Event #8 began with 42 entrants and saw a few new faces, including PokerGO Cup champion Jeremy Ausmus, WPT Champions Club member Matthew Wantman, and WSOP bracelet winner Martin Zamani. As play approached dinner break, the final table of nine would be set with Chance Kornuth holding the chip lead on the back of his Event #7 win earlier in the day. Jim Agate would exit in ninth place, and once play resumed after dinner, Michael Rossitto exited in eighth place. Kornuth lost several key pots at the final table and bowed out in seventh place to leave the final six on the money bubble.

Eyal Al Revah aggressive style would see him ride up and down the chip leaderboard, and down to his shortest point at the final table, he found pocket aces and jammed over a Song raise. Song called and tabled pocket jacks, and when a jack fell on the turn, Al Revah would be eliminated on the money bubble in sixth place as the final five bagged for the night.
