Jared Hyman Leads Poker Masters Event #7 Final Table
The 2025 Poker Masters continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #6: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The tournament drew 109 entries, and Martin Zamani leads the final six players.
Zamani scored several knockouts late in the evening, including the final one of the night, and secured the overnight chip lead with one-third of the chips in play. He leads a final table that includes Andrew Lichtenberger, Alex Foxen, RJ Sullivan, Bin Weng, and Doug Lee. These six players will return with $55,000 locked up, but all eyes will be on the $272,000 first-place prize, 272 PGT points, and the brand-new Poker Masters Purple Jacket trophy.
The field of 109 entrants created a prize pool of $1,090,000, and the final 16 players earned a piece of it. The stone bubble lasted over an hour, and seven doubles occurred, including a hand where Foxen five-bet jammed ace-five and ran into Weng's aces. Foxen went from chip leader to short stack on that hand, but he was able to run it all the way back up to the final table.
The bubble finally burst with a bang when Filipp Khavin (17th) and Cary Katz (16th) were both eliminated on the same hand at different tables, and they split the min-cash prize money. Jeremiah Williams (15th), Jeremy Becker (14th), Jared Jaffee (13th), Justin Zaki (12th), David Coleman (11th), Sam Soverel (10th), Todd Hovenden (9th), and Jeremy Ausmus (8th) were the next to fall in the money.
The field then converged on a single table, and soon after, Matthew McEwan got his stack in with jacks against Zamani's ace-king. The flop and turn changed nothing, but a king spiked the river, and McEwan was eliminated in eighth place, while the seven remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
Lichtenberger and Lee each picked up their third cash of the series, and a victory would put either atop the series leaderboard in the race for the prestigious Poker Masters Purple Jacket and a $25,000 PGT Passport. Sullivan picked up his second cash of the series, while Zamani, Foxen, and Weng each notched their first.
