Seattle’s very own Matt Affleck joins Heads Up with Remko to talk about his life, career and the hand that brought him poker fame. In the 2010 WSOP Main Event, Affleck was eliminated by the eventual winner Johnathan Duhamel when his aces got cracked with 15 players remaining in the tournament, and that hand will forever live on in poker history.
The story of Affleck, however, goes far beyond that one hand. A longtime online player, live tournament pro, respected poker coach and both WSOP and WPT finalist, there’s a lot to discuss.
Affleck dives into the mental aspect of the game, as he’s being coached by Jared Tendler, and how he’s constantly working on his game to eventually get that massive win he’s been close to so many times.
Today, on July 10th, Matt Affleck plays the WSOP Main Event Day 1c, and you can follow him on Twitter. Watch all the Main Event Day 1c action live on PokerGO, and all days leading up to the 2017 Main Event final table.
