Daniel Dvoress Wins 2nd WSOP Bracelet in €25K GGMillion€ for €600K

Daniel Dvoress has claimed his second WSOP bracelet after emerging victorious in Event #8: €25,000 GGMillion€ at WSOP Europe. Dvoress topped the 89-entrant field to win the €600,000 first-place prize after defeating Michael Rocco heads-up at a final table that included Martin Kabrhel, Leonard Maue, and last year's runner-up Gab Yong Kim.

Dvoress' first WSOP bracelet came during the 2020 WSOP Online series on GGPoker, where he won the $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER for $1,489,289 in prize money. Dvoress now eclipses $27,800,000 in live lifetime tournament earnings and moves ahead of Antonio Esfandiari on the All-Time Money List by moving into 26th overall. He now trails fellow high-stakes poker players Paul Phua and Sean Winter.

The 2023 WSOP Europe returned to King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, for a 15-event schedule from October 25 to November 15. 2022 WSOP Europe Main Event winner Omar Eljach won his second WSOP bracelet in Event #2, while Tobias Peters won his first bracelet across the early part of the 2023 WSOP Europe schedule before Event #8. A total of 89 entrants would take a seat in Event #8 and create a €2,079,930 prize pool that paid the final 14 players. 

Following the eliminations of WSOP bracelet winners Timothy Adams (13th), Ole Schemion (12th), Orpen Kisacikoglu (11th), and James Chen (10th), the final table of nine would be set with Kabrhel holding the chip lead ahead of Rocco. Jerry Odeen exited in ninth place when his fellow Swede Niklas Astedt eliminated him before Rocco surged into the chip lead and eliminated Tamas Adamszki in eighth place when his kings held against pocket nines. Cedric Schwaederle fell in seventh place when Dvoress' ace-queen outdrew his ace-king before Rocco eliminated Astedt in sixth. 

Leonard Maue pushed from the small blind and ran into Kabrhel's pocket tens to put the tournament down to four. Kim was back at the same final table where he finished runner-up to Phua in 2022, but his run in 2023 would end in fourth place after his ace-nine failed to improve against Dvoress' pocket sevens. Kabrhel's run at winning his third WSOP bracelet ended in third place when his king-queen went down to Dvoress' pocket nines as the Canadian entered heads-up pay with nearly a two-to-one chip lead over the American, Rocco. 

Dvoress edged ahead slightly before the final hand played out that saw Rocco shove the big blind with ten-nine and Dvoress limp-call from the button with ace-eight. The board ran out eight-high, and Dvoress eliminated Rocco and collected his second WSOP bracelet and the €600,000 first-place prize.

Kisacikoglu and Kabrhel Approach PGT Leaderboard Top 40

This victory is Daniel Dvoress' first PGT cash of 2023, and he climbs into 128th place on the PGT leaderboard. With his runner-up finish, Michael Rocoo is in 153rd place with 328 PGT points.

Following his 11th-place finish, Orpen Kisacikoglu is now in 65th place on the PGT leaderboard with 670 PGT points, while Martin Kabrhel moves into 67th with 656 PGT points. Kisacikoglu and Kabrhel sit outside the Top 40 on the PGT leaderboard by 230 and 244 PGT points, respectively. 

Two more PGT-qualifying events remain on the 2023 WSOP Europe schedule with Event #12: €50k No-Limit Hold'em Diamond High Roller and Event #13: €10k Main Event earning players that cash, PGT points. Following WSOP Europe will be six qualifying events at WSOP Paradise.
