Cheers to the Casino Employees!
Not just the six players set to compete for World Series of Poker gold later today on PokerGO, the entire industry. Casino and gaming employees are some of the hardest working people in poker and many work long, thankless hours to make our industry and the World Series what it is.
There may not be any big names at today’s $500 Casino Employees Event final table, even WSOP Media Relations Manager Isaac Hanson wouldn’t compare himself to Daniel Negreanu, but Hanson leads the way at one of the summer’s most exciting final tables. Just over $62,000 is up top and coverage begins at 4 PM ET exclusively on PokerGO.
Craig Varnell’s Close Calls
For a tournament player, eclipsing a certain career earnings mark is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you’ve broken through. On the other, it’s a number that can always leave a little to be desired.
Craig Varnell will likely feel both sides of that career earnings sword today, when he takes his seat at the WPT Choctaw final table. Varnell will eclipse $2,000,000 in career earning regardless of how he finishes, but he’ll also try to eclipse his past World Poker Tour finishes. Over the last few years, Varnell has multiple single-digit WPT finishes and his lone WPT win was in an event that doesn’t qualify him for the Tournament of Champions.
Will that change for Varnell today? Find out when the WPT Choctaw final table streams live at 7:30 PM ET exclusively on PokerGO.
