The 132-entrant field created a prize pool of $660,000 and the top 19 finishers earned a piece of it. Bradley Ruben was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his chips in with aces, as Adam Hendrix flopped trips to send Ruben to the rail. Among those to cash were Christopher Frank (17th), Jim Collopy (16th), Joao Simao (15th), and Jonas Kronwitter (12th).

Yockey soared up the leaderboard as he went on a heater and notched several knockouts. He would then turn a straight to eliminate Adam Hendrix in eighth place before seven players converged on a single table. Yockey would continue his fortune as he turned a flush to eliminate Steve Zolotow in seventh place, and the six remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
Each player has locked up $33,000 but all eyes will be on the $161,700 first-place prize, 162 PGT points, and Event #1 trophy.
