The 2024 PGT PLO Series presented by PLO Mastermind kicked off at the PokerGO Studio from ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Event #1: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha.

Bryce Yockey bagged the chip lead and holds over 36% of the chips in play as six players remain. Joao Pedro de Almeida, Frederick Hoban, Sean Troha, Allan Le, and Fernando Habegger round out the players who will return for the final day as play resumes at 12 p.m. PT on Thursday, March 21 with the delayed final table stream beginning at 1 p.m. PT on PokerGO.

The 132-entrant field created a prize pool of $660,000 and the top 19 finishers earned a piece of it. Bradley Ruben was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his chips in with aces, as Adam Hendrix flopped trips to send Ruben to the rail. Among those to cash were Christopher Frank (17th), Jim Collopy (16th), Joao Simao (15th), and Jonas Kronwitter (12th).

Yockey soared up the leaderboard as he went on a heater and notched several knockouts. He would then turn a straight to eliminate Adam Hendrix in eighth place before seven players converged on a single table. Yockey would continue his fortune as he turned a flush to eliminate Steve Zolotow in seventh place, and the six remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.

Each player has locked up $33,000 but all eyes will be on the $161,700 first-place prize, 162 PGT points, and Event #1 trophy.
