Daniel Negreanu and Seth Davies Enter Top 3 on PGT Leaderboard
The PGT Mixed Games 2024 series continued at the PokerGO Studio from ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday with Event #3: $10,200 H.O.R.S.E. The tournament drew a field of 63 entries and leading the final five players is Benny Glaser.
Glaser is atop the chip counts with 3,175,000, followed by Jeremy Ausmus with 2,415,000, Mori Eskandani with 1,780,000, Daniel Negreanu with 1,725,000, and Jerry Wong with 360,000. These five players will return on Saturday already guaranteed $47,250. Up top for the winner is the $201,600 first-place prize, 202 PGT points, and the Event #3 trophy. For Glaser and Negreanu, this marks their second final tables of the series thus far.
The field of 63 entries created a prize pool of $630,000 and the final nine players earned a piece of it. Michael Parizon just missed out, busting on the money bubble when his bottom two pair in Omaha Hi-Lo fell to Jeremy Ausmus' better two pair. Once in the money, John Monnette (9th) and Ben Diebold (8th) were eliminated.
The final seven players redrew for seats at the final table, with three players having three big bets or fewer. Each doubled up once before Tatal Shakerchi ultimately busted in seventh place. Event #1 winner Maksim Pisarenko had less than one big bet at that point, so a few more courtesy hands were played to either double him up or bust him, and it ended up being the latter, ending his tournament in sixth place.
Play resumes at 12 p.m. PT on Saturday, March 2nd with the delayed final table livestream beginning at 1 p.m. PT on PokerGO.
