After a 15-hour day, Jordan Griff leads 11 surviving players with 897,000 in chips out of a field of 97 entrants on Day 1C. Martin Zamani (810,000), Frederick Carbonneau (651,000), Christopher Hannel (605,000), and Anthony Hu (565,000) round out the top five players to bag in the fifth of seven flights.
Ige entered the tournament later in the registration period and began an ascent that lasted all evening. He knocked out three players -- Alex Livingston, Alejandro Jauregui Reynoso, and Harry Cullen -- in a 90-minute span to take him above 900,000. He surpassed 1 million after the final break of the night.
Vo shot to the top of the leaderboard before the day turned to night and continued to add to his stack without much resistance. Andrade claimed two of the final four eliminations of the evening to climb into third. His aces held against top pair and a flush draw to knock out David Diaz and then made quad queens against Michael Wang's Broadway. Charalampo vaulted into fourth after eliminating Ken Han on the direct bubble.
Other players to advance include Lawrence Chang (637,000), Stephanie Chung (558,000), and William Leffingwell (391,000). Erik Seidel, Alex Livingston, Matthew Wantman, Damjan Radanov, Philip Shing, and Jonathan Tamayo were among those who did not make it through the flight.
The Texas PLO Roundup $3,300 Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event is now up to 359 entrants, with 38 players advancing to Day 2. The tournament has surpassed its $1 million guarantee and has two turbo flights left to add to that total.
At the season's end, the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for the PGT Championship. The 2024 PGT Championship will be a $1,000,000 freeroll with a $500,000 first-place.
