Bryn Kenney Reclaims All-Time Money Lead During PokerGO Cup

Bryn Kenney is back on top of poker’s all-time money list, as tracked by HendonMob.com. Kenney recorded a third-place result in Event #2: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em at the 2022 PokerGO Cup for $96,000 and moved to $57,204,865 in career live tournament earnings. The result put Kenney back in the number one spot on poker’s all-time money list.

Entering the final table of 2022 PokerGO Cup Event #2, Kenney needed a third-place finish or better to leapfrog Justin Bonomo at the top of the all-time money list. Kenney did just that, finishing third and moving back into the top spot.

Two-Horse Race Between Kenney and Bonomo

Bonomo had retaken the lead from Kenney in December 2021 when he won the $100,000 buy-in PokerGO Tour (PGT) high roller tournament at Bellagio during the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. Bonomo picked up $928,200 for that result and moved ahead of Kenney at the top of the list. Bonomo added to his lead when he won a $10,000 PGT high roller a few days later at Bellagio for $128,000.

Then, in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event, Bonomo and Kenney both had deep runs. Bonomo busted in 74th for $19,385, but Kenney went much deeper. Kenney broke into the top 10 of the event and ultimately finished seventh for $201,480. Kenney’s run wasn’t enough to allow him to retake the lead on the all-time money list, but it put him in an even better striking distance.

At the 2022 PokerGO Cup series that is part of the PGT, Kenney came into the final table of six in second chip position. At the time, Kenney was $85,784 in prize money behind Bonomo. That meant he needed a third-place finish or better at the 2022 PokerGO Cup Event #2 final table to overtake Bonomo. Third place was worth $96,000, whereas fourth place for $80,000 wouldn’t get it done.

After Sean Perry knocked out Scott Ball in fourth place at the final table of Event #2 at the 2022 PokerGO Cup, Kenney had secured the top-three finish he needed to surpass Bonomo and reclaim the top spot on poker’s all-time money list.

Kenney is now $10,216 ahead of Bonomo, and it really is a two-horse race at this time. Daniel Negreanu sits third behind the two, but he’s more than $12,000,000 behind Bonomo.
