Las Vegas, NV (November 22, 2023) — The PGT® is pleased to announce that two Dream Seats will be up for grabs during the first-ever PGT Last Chance series that is set to close out the third season of the PokerGO Tour®. Winners of the Dream Seats will be granted automatic entry into the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll.

The PGT Last Chance series is a series of six $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournaments scheduled for January 2-7, 2024, and hosted at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The first-ever PGT Last Chance series is exactly as the name suggests: a last-chance series giving players the opportunity to both improve their leaderboard standing and qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship.

The PGT Last Chance series will have its own dedicated series leaderboard. The top two point earners who have not already qualified for the PGT Championship will win Dream Seats to compete in the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll from January 9-10. PokerGO plans to livestream all PGT Last Chance final tables leading into the PGT Championship.

“With the two final Dream Seats up for grabs, the attractiveness of the PGT Last Chance series greatly increases,” said Tim Duckworth, PokerGO Director of Live Events. “The series was already going to offer players one final push for PGT leaderboard points; it was going to play an important role in determining the winner of the PGT’s $50,000 season-long leaderboard prize, the standing of leaderboard’s top 40 competitors, and the starting chips each of the top 40 players will begin the PGT Championship with. Now, two additional players will have the chance of a lifetime as they are catapulted into the PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll. Finish first or second on the series leaderboard having not already qualified for the PGT Championship and you’re in. It’s that simple.”

The PGT Championship is an invite-only event open to the top 40 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard and select Dream Seat winners. Those top 40 players that qualify for this $1,000,000 freeroll tournament via the PGT leaderboard have their starting chips determined by the number of points earned during the regular season. Dream Seat winners will enter with 100 big blinds. First place is set at $500,000 with additional payouts for the final table.

The PGT Last Chance events aren’t the only events remaining on the 2023 PGT schedule. There are four $10,500 buy-in ARIA High Roller tournaments running November 27-30 at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. At WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas, six events qualify for the PGT. The full schedule of PGT events can be found at PGT.com/schedule.
