LAS VEGAS, NV (April 27, 2023) — High Stakes Duel returns to PokerGO® with Daniel Negreanu versus Eric Persson May 8-9. Plus, for the first time ever, High Stakes Duel features an undercard match and it will be Shaun Deeb taking on Mike Matusow.

Negreanu and Persson will step into the PokerGO Studio for Round 1 starting at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) on Monday, May 8. Each player will be putting up $50,000. Round 2 will take place on Tuesday, May 9, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) and be played for $200,000 - the previous round’s winner will have the $100,000 he won go into play and the Round 1 loser will put up $100,000 for the rematch. Both rounds between Negreanu and Persson will air exclusively on PokerGO.

Per the updated rules of High Stakes Duel 4, a player who wins two consecutive matches will be crowned High Stakes Duel 4 champion. If Negreanu wins both Round 1 and Round 2 against Persson, he will be the High Stakes Duel 4 champion. If Persson wins both Round 1 and Round 2 against Negreanu, he will be the one walking away with the championship belt. Should Persson and Negreanu split the first two rounds, the loser of Round 2 has the first right to a rematch for Round 3 but the player must exercise that right immediately or the player will be eliminated.

The High Stakes Duel 4 undercard match sees Shaun Deeb battle Mike Matusow on Friday, May 5, for $10,000 each. This one-and-done match will be available for free on PokerGO and the PokerGO YouTube channel.
