Earlier this week, Poker Central announced the addition of Season XVI World Poker Tour final tables to the PokerGO live event library. Through the partnership, fans from around the world will have the opportunity to watch the world’s leading poker players compete for prestigious WPT titles throughout Season XVI and the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event opens that partnership next week.
Held at The Bicycle Hotel & Casino in Bell Gardens, California, the Legends of Poker Main Event has been a staple on the World Poker Tour schedule for the last 15 years. The Bike is one of only three charter members to host WPT Main Events in each and every year of the World Poker Tour. This year, the WPT Legend of Poker Main Event will have the honor of awarding the one-billionth prize dollar in World Poker Tour history.
“On the road to one billion dollars, The Bike has been home to some of the greatest moments on the World Poker Tour, including WPT titles from stars such as Doyle Brunson and Dan Harrington,” said Adam Pliska, CEO of the World Poker Tour, earlier this month. “As we return to The Bike for a 16th season, we welcome WPT players from all over the world to join us for this momentous occasion.”
The $4,000 buy-in event begins at 12 PM PT on Friday, August 25, with the first of three starting flights. The final two starting flights will begin at 12 PM PT on Saturday and Sunday, with each boasting a single re-entry structure. Late registration is open until the start of Day 2, when the field will play down to approximately one table before the money. Day 3 will drop the field to the final 24 players and Day 4 will bring the field to the six-handed final table.
The WPT Legends of Poker Man Event final table will stream live on PokerGO at 4:30 PM PT on Thursday, August 31.
