Veerachai Vongxaiburana is now a World Series of Poker bracelet winner after claiming victory in Event #44: $10,000 Big O Championship. Vongxaiburana earned $784,353 in prize money and 784 PGT points. He is now 15th on the PGT leaderboard.

Vongxaiburana's lifetime tournament earnings soared to more than $1,040,000 following the victory, according to The Hendon Mob. It also smashed his previous best cash, which was $39,419 in a Pot-Limit Omaha event in December of 2024.

The Big O Championship drew a field of 402 entrants, generating a prize pool of $3,738,600. The final 61 players were in the money. They included Allen Kessler, Dario Sammartino, Phil Hellmuth, Patrick Leonard, Alex Livingston, Dan Heimiller, Bradley Ruben, Yevgeniu Timoshenko, Sam Soverel, David Wiliams, Nick Schulman, Sean Troha, Jeff Madsen, Arthur Morris, Erik Seidel, Dylan Weisman, and Justin Liberto.

The fourth day of play would see just five players return, led by Marco Johnson. After chips circulated for a while, there would be a double knockout of both Shawn Rice and Viktor Blom. Phil Hui had both players covered, and his aces would hold against the flopped straight draws of Blom and Rice. Hui was now the chip leader, but Vongxaiburana surged ahead before Johnson was eliminated in third place when he was all-in with top and bottom pair against Vongxaiburana's top two pair. Vongxaiburana ran out a better low to eliminate Johnson as heads-up play began with Vongxaiburana leading with 13.5 million to Hui's 10.5 million.

Heads-up play would last more than three hours as each player took their turn at holding the chip lead. Vongxaiburana then scooped a huge pot with a ten-high straight and nut low. Holding a ten-to-one advantage over Hui, the two returned from break as Hui scored one double, but no more as he fell in second place. Hui was all-in with a wrap against Vongxaiburana superior straight draw. Vongxaiburana rivered the nuts, and Hui was eliminated in second place as Vongxaiburana was crowned the Big O Championship winner and awarded his first career WSOP bracelet.
