The Triton Million – A Helping Hand for Charity raised an astonishing £2.7 million to charitable causes as the 54-player field created a £54 million prize pool. Following a heads-up deal where Bryn Kenney took home the lion’s share of £16.9 million, it would be Aaron Zang emerging victorious as he pocketed the £13.8 million first-place prize and title of inaugural Triton Million champion.
Held in July 2019 at the London Hilton in London, England, the 54-player field was split evenly between professional poker players and recreational players that all put up the £1,050,000 buy-in to compete for the title in the richest tournament in poker history. The final 11 players finished in-the-money as Winfred Yu, Chin Wei Lim, Timothy Adams, Bill Perkins, Vivek Rajkumar, Stephen Chidwick, and Dan Smith all collected prize money alongside Zang and Kenney.
The entire Triton Million has been cut into 10 episodes that will be released on PokerGO.com every Thursday starting on July 15. Each episode has Daniel Negreanu and Ali Nejad guiding viewers through exclusive behind-the-scenes action, along with capturing the highs and lows of the tournament.
Every Thursday will see the release of two Triton Million episodes at 8 p.m. ET with the final two episodes of the series airing on August 12.
