The inaugural PGT True Classic Rags To Riches $3,300 No-Limit Hold'em event resumed Thursday at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Returning on Day 2 were 24 players already in the money and guaranteed at least $6,000.
Terry Fleischer bagged the top stack with 6,225,000 and leads the seven remaining players ahead of Calvin Anderson (6,175,000), Jared Jaffee (5,475,000), Daniel Maor (3,250,000), Michael Wang (1,200,000), Anthony Hu (1,100,000), and Jack Hardcastle (725,000).
The seven remaining players have each locked up $15,000, but all eyes are set on the $110,000 first-place prize, 110 PGT points, and PGT True Classic Rags To Riches trophy.
Flesicher started the day with a healthy stack and then scored a massive double when his queens held against Doug Lee's flush draw to soar to the top of the counts. Near the end of the day, Fleischer called a three-bet preflop and then jammed against Jaffee's flop bet to cement himself as the overnight chip leader.
There were 15 True Classic Giveaway winners playing in the event, and James Anderson and Mark Anthony DiBello were the two who made it to Day 2 in the money. They both made deep runs but ultimately fell in 14th place and 11th place, respectively. There were also 11 PGT Satellite winners in total. Dustin Iannotti was the only satellite winner to cash, and he stuck around for most of Day 2 before he was eliminated in ninth place, just a couple of spots short of the final table.
Other notable players who made it into the money include Maziar Keshavarzi (8th), Day 1A chip leader Michael Rossitto (10th), David 'ODB' Baker (15th), Craig Mason (16th), Justin Sternberg (17th), Neil Warren (19th), Doug Lee (20th), and Sam Laskowitz (21st).
Cards will be in the air at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 5, from the PokerGO Studio. The entirety of the final table will be livestreamed on PokerGO.com, while the PGT Live Reporting Team will provide exclusive live updates throughout the event until a winner is crowned.
