The Seminole Hard Rock Group in Florida quickly put themselves in the conversation as one the premier tournament brands in the game. They first gained national attention with their $10 Million Guarantee main events at the Hollywood location, built on that success with the “The Big Four” following the WSOP and now the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa put a little more shine on the brand with a brand new poker room.
Players first got a sneak peek of the room during a soft opening. The new non-smoking room features new chairs, 46 tables, over 40 TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi and opens officially Thursday, January 12.
The room features a new high limit lounge with two tables for largest games running, a bar that seats 15 and snack bar just for the poker room. A covered outdoor patio is available as a smoking area.
Tommy Bates, Director of Poker Operations of SHRT, is on the front lines of the project and is clearly excited about the pending official opening.

World Series of Poker veteran and Hollywood comedian Brad Garrett will ceremonially smash a guitar during the opening ceremony. He’ll play the first hand dealt, present a limited edition commemorative chip and Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will donate $10,000 in Garrett’s name to the Maximum Hope Foundation – a charity that benefits families with children with a life-limiting illness.
Player parking for the room is the Draper Place Garage located on Orient Ave. – which is the closest garage to I-4 East off ramp.
