The 2025 ARIA High Roller Series continued on Wednesday with Event #5: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Emerging victorious for the second time this week was Sam Soverel, winning outright for $112,500 and 113 PGT points. Earlier this week, Soverel won Event #3 for $122,400. He max late registered again and two doubles ups within an hour of entering helped propel him to a decent stack when the final table of seven players was reached. Soverel was in the middle of the pack sitting fourth in chips. He proceeded to eliminate two shorter stacks in Stefan Christopher and Sean Rafael, and then doubled up through chip leader Veselin Karakitukov to take the chip lead, en route to his claiming the win.
The fifth event of the 2025 ARIA High Roller Series drew a 25-entrant field, setting the prize pool at $250,000. The final four players finished in the money and just missing out was Lautaro Guerra, bubbling for the third time this series.
Christopher Frank was the first to fall in the money, getting his stack in with a pair and a straight draw against Stephen Chidwick's overpair. Frank did make trips, but was outkicked by Chidwick to bust in fourth place.
A lengthy three-handed battle followed and ultimately it was Soverel who gained the upper hand and went from shortest stack to clear chip leader. Karakitukov exited in third place after flopping trip aces, but Soverel had flopped aces full and held up to score the elimination.
Heads-up play went quickly as Soverel and Chidwick agreed to get it in, with Soverel running out a flush to win outright for $112,500 and 113 PGT points.
