For the first time in the World Series of Poker’s 49-year history, bracelet events ran alongside the WSOP Main Event. Over a dozen bracelets were up for grabs and while big name players like Shaun Deeb and Joe Cada added to their trophy cases, they weren’t the biggest names to win WSOP gold. “The Poker Brat” won his record-breaking 15th WSOP bracelet in Event #71 5,000 No Limit Hold’em, extending his bracelet lead over ten-time winners Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, and Johnny Chan. Throughout the 2018 World Series of Poker, Hellmuth also extended his lead on the all-time WSOP cashes leaderboard and the all-time top-ten WSOP finishes leaderboard.
