The 2025 ARIA High Roller Series continued on Sunday with Event #10: $15,100 No-Limit Hold'em from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A heads-up deal was made between Ray Qartomy and Mikita Badziakouski. In the end, Qartomy was the official winner, notching his second victory of the series and fourth PGT title overall for $210,200.
Qartomy entered the tournament just after Level 3, but really caught fire as registration closed at Level 9. He scored three eliminations in about 45 minutes, taking down David Chen, Kahle Burns, and Alexandros Theologis to go from one of the shorter stacks to one of the bigger stacks, kickstarting what would eventually lead to his first-place result.
The 10th event of the 2025 ARIA High Roller Series drew a 59-entrant field, setting the prize pool at $885,000. Alejandro Lococo was eliminated on the money bubble when he got his short stack in with pocket sixes against the ace-king of Jesse Lonis. Four spades ran out and Lonis made the ace-high flush, guaranteeing a payday of at least $26,550 for the remaining nine players.
The first to fall in the money were Viktor Ustimov in ninth place and Dale Roesel in eighth place. Roesel busted to Qartomy, setting the final table of seven players where Qartomy was second in chips, trailing only Yaman Nakdali.
After Pedro Padhila was eliminated in seventh place, Qartomy went on a rush eliminating David Coleman in sixth place and Jesse Lonis in fifth. It was pocket sixes for Qartomy besting Coleman's king-ten, and pocket jacks for Qartomy holding up against Lonis' king-queen. Four-handed play lasted a little while, but Talal Shakerchi ultimately departed in fourth place to Badziakouski, and that was succeeded by Nakdali in third place.
Following a deal between Qartomy and Badziakouski, Qartomy earned his second win of the series, and fourth PGT title of his career. He also picked up $210,200 in prize money, 210 PGT points. Qartomy now sits 60th on the PGT leaderboard with 588 PGT points from six cashes and four wins.
