Today, Poker Central and Stadium announced the first-of-its-kind poker show available exclusively on Facebook Watch. Friday Night Poker premiers on September 21, running for 13 straight weeks from 7:00-11:00 pm ET with a variety of your favorite poker personalities playing for real money.
“As Poker Central continues to expand its reach across audiences, growing in highly engaged social channels was a clear evolution,” said Sam Simmons, vice president of content for Poker Central. “Developing Friday Night Poker as a customized viewing experience on the Facebook Watch platform represents a significant milestone in that growth.”
“We’ve taken great pride in evolving the traditional live television experience by creating unique social and interactive elements while still keeping production values high,” said Stadium CEO Jason Coyle. “Being able to take those elements and bring fans an interactive poker experience on Facebook is something we’re incredibly excited about.”
Live from the PokerGO Studio, hosted by Jeff Platt with play-by-play commentary provided by Brent Hanks and Amanda Leatherman providing updates from the floor, Friday Night Poker will be a highly-engaging experience for poker fans.
Friday Night Poker provides a unique opportunity for fans to engage in real-time with players and hosts and a potential chance of winning a seat on the show. Follow Stadium’s Friday Night Poker Page to get episodes added to your Watchlists.
Building up the excitement for each week’s show, a short-form preview show will be hosted by Jeff, Brent, and Amanda on 7:00 pm ET on Thursday to discuss that week’s lineup and poker strategy with player guests.
This week on Friday Night Poker, an eclectic mix of players gets things going with a $1,500 buy-in minimum buy-in uncapped $5/$10 No Limit Texas Hold’em game with a $10 big blind ante. The lineup for Friday Night Poker will be announced on Thursday night’s preview show, exclusively on Facebook Watch.
