LAS VEGAS, NV (March 3, 2022) — The 2022 season of the PokerGO Tour™ will culminate with the winner-take-all PGT Championship, with the winner earning a $500,000 prize.
The PGT Championship takes place at the end of the season, following the conclusion of all qualifying PGT tournaments. The top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will compete in the PGT Championship. Players will begin the PGT Championship with starting chip stacks based on leaderboard points earned throughout the season, and play in the PGT Championship will begin with three seven-handed tables.
The two-day tournament will culminate with the winner taking home a $500,000 prize and being crowned PGT champion. The event’s final table will be played six-handed.
“The PGT is the battleground for the most elite poker players in the world, and it is only right that we honor the best of the best in an extraordinary fashion,” said Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO®. “We are proud to award the 2022 PGT season champion with a $500,000 prize as we continue to celebrate the most talented players our game has to offer.”
