Nguyen Le is now a World Series of Poker bracelet winner after claiming victory in Event #88: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller. Le secured the $2,686,913 first-place prize and 850 PGT points after defeating Alexandre Reard in heads-up play.
Le now has three major wins in 2025 following his triumph in January's Borgata Winter Poker Open and July's BetMGM Poker Championship. Le now has amassed more than $4,132,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob, with over $4,000,000 of it earned in 2025 alone.
The final No-Limit Hold'em High Roller of the series attracted 252 entrants and created a prize pool of $11,970,000. The final 38 players were in the money, and included Alex Foxen, Punnat Punsri, Benny Glaser, Jesse Lonis, Joe Cada, Joao Simao, Kristen Foxen, Masato Yokosawa, Alex Kulev, Shaun Deeb, Masashi Oya, and Philip Sternheimer.
The final day of play would see 17 players return, and following a steady string of eliminations, the final table of nine was reached with Jun Obara holding the chip lead. Sam Soverel was the first to fall when his pocket jacks ran into the pocket queens of Fahredin Mustafov before Matthew Wantman followed him out the door with ace-jack against Mustafov's pocket sixes. Martin Zamani was then all-in with king-queen against the ace-queen of Vinny Lingham. Both players flopped draws, but Lingham's ace-high held.
Mustafov was then all-in with ace-ten against Le's ace-queen and was flopped nearly dead. Lingham was then eliminated in fifth place when his ace-nine was outdrawn by the king-eight of Reard. Obara was then all-in with ace-seven against the king-ten of Le. Le flopped a ten and faded Obara's live ace and straight draw as the tournament was down to the final three. Aido was then all-in with king-deuce, but was unable to outdraw Le's ace-nine suited. Le would hold a chip advantage of 51.2 million to Reard's 24.4 million.
Reard doubled into the chip lead, but Le would then double back when he was all-in on the turn with two pair against Reard's pair and straight draw. The river bricked, and Reard was down to just a handful of big blinds before busting shortly after with eight-five against Le's queen-three.
