Friday morning. It’s been a long week but you are almost there. Just a few more calls, one more meeting and then the weekend and freedom awaits. We know you need a little extra boost to get you through the final day of the workweek and luckily, Poker Central and Death Wish Coffee have you covered. The world’s strongest coffee gives you a “Morning Perk,” bringing you the best of the internet from the past week.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
The internet wasn’t around when Ferris Bueller gave everyone the perfect high school yearbook quote but his words are just as powerful today as they were in the late 80’s. The internet, more often than not, moves faster than life itself and while we’re sure we missed some of it, these were our favorites from the past week.

Keeping with “Morning Perk” tradition, we open with the best movie trailer from this past week. Dunkirk, directed by one of my personal favorites Christopher Nolan and staring another one of my personal favorites Tom Hardy, hits theaters this summer and follows the heroic rescue missions on the beaches of France during World War II. Summer blockbusters are generally easy to get excited about but this is one I am really looking forward to.

If the Dunkirk trailer didn’t exist, Migos would have opened this week’s “Perk” and we likely would have just called it a day after that. The Atlanta rap trio attended this week’s Met Gala, dressed in nothing but matching black Versace suits and what Vogue called “like a couple million dollars in diamonds and silver chains.” Talk about bad and boujee…
Peak trolling from LeBron ?? pic.twitter.com/VaO2S1jysg

LeBron James is the best basketball player of all-time, please at me, and he is also, apparently, the most disrespectful. James’ Cleveland Cavaliers have cruised to a 2-0 series lead against the Toronto Raptors and in Game 1 of that series, LeBron jokingly thought about taking a sip of beer mid-way through the 3rd quarter. In Game 2, LeBron pulled out some school-yard moves, spinning the ball twice in his palm before draining a three-pointer in Serge Ibaka’s face. Getting swept is bad, getting trolled while you do it is even worse.
George Brett is a Hall of Famer but he may be best known for his “Pine Tar Incident” against the New York Yankees in 1983. With his team, the Kansas City Royals, trailing by 1 with two outs in the top of the ninth, Brett hit a two-run home run to give the Royals the lead. The Yankees then noticed a large amount of pine tar on Brett’s bat and the umpire disallowed the home run and called him out, ending the game and giving the Yankees the win. The game was then protested and the game was replayed from the point of the home run but nevertheless, when Brent was originally called out, he went ballistic. The great men from Barstool Sports recreated that iconic MLB moment this week and Brett clearly has a good sense of humor about the whole situation.
