The 2025 ARIA High Roller Series continued on Tuesday with Event #4: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Emerging victorious was Joni Jouhkimainen, winning outright for $111,600 and 112 PGT points. When registration closed, Jouhkimainen was below starting stack. He then doubled up twice through Farid Jattin to ascend the chip counts, then rose to the top after flopping the nut straight against Nino Pansier and holding up against the Dutchman's multiple draws. That propelled Jouhkimainen to the chip lead and he remained there for majority of the way, en route to his victory.
The fourth event of the 2025 ARIA High Roller Series drew a 31-entrant field, setting the prize pool at $310,000. The final six players finished in the money and just missing out was Stefan Christopher, whose flopped bottom two pair was unable to hold up against Jouhkimainen's holdings, sending the remaining six players into the money.
Lautaro Guerra was the first to fall in the money, after getting his aces cracked by Jouhkimainen's kings. Jouhkimainen sat out the next two eliminations, as Jonas Kronwitter exited in fifth place followed by Sean Rafael in fourth place, by the hands of Gruffudd Pugh-Jones and Eelis Parssinen, respectively.
A lengthy three-handed battle ensued and it was Parssinen who busted in third place to his fellow Finn. Both were double suited with an ace, but it was Jouhkimainen who made a winning flush to take more than a 2-to-1 lead into heads-up play.
While he did lose the chip lead briefly, Jouhkimainen recovered in a memorable hand. On a board where multiple draws got there on the river with the pot having nearly 80% of the chips in play, Jouhkimainen min-bet the river. Pugh-Jones responded with a small raise, and Jouhkimainen wasn't eager to call, admitting if he folded and was shown a bluff, that "My career is over."
Fortunately for Jouhkimainen, he called with a set on the draw heavy board and Pugh-Jones was indeed bluffing, giving Jouhkimainen majority of the chips in play. Two hands later, he had all of the chips for his second PGT victory.
