Alex Foxen First To Reach 100 Career PGT Cashes
The 2025 Poker Masters continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the stakes have been raised with Event #8: $15,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The tournament drew 67 entries, and Jeremy Ausmus leads the final five players.
Ausmus was the short stack late in the evening before he went on a heater and finished as the overnight chip leader with over 36% of the chips in play. He leads a final table that includes Brian Batt, Nguyen Le, Joey Weissman, and Alex Foxen. These five players will return with $75,500 locked up, but all eyes will be on the $301,000 first-place prize, 241 PGT points, and the brand-new Poker Masters Purple Jacket trophy.
The field of 67 entrants created a prize pool of $1,005,000, and the final 10 players earned a piece of it. Dylan Linde was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his suited jack-ten in against ace-king and failed to improve. Michael Brinkenhoff (10th), Nick Schulman (9th), and Dan Shak (8th) were the first to fall in the money.
The field then converged on a single table, and soon after, Neil Warren was eliminated in seventh place when he ran his suited ace-jack into Batt's cowboys. On the final hand of the night, Jesse Lonis bet all three streets with ace-queen on an ace-high board, but ran into the two pair of Ausmus. Lonis was eliminated in sixth place, while the five remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
Foxen picked up his second cash of the series to add to his victory in Event #6, and he has already earned enough points in this event to move atop the series leaderboard in the race for the prestigious Poker Masters Purple Jacket and a $25,000 PGT Passport. Batt, Le, and Weissman also each notched their second cash, while Ausmus picked up his third.
