For the last five decades, Doyle Brunson has made history in every way possible. Back-to-back World Series of Poker Main Event wins in 1976 and 1977 put Brunson on the proverbial map, while the 1978 release of Super/System put Brunson on the millions of bookshelves. Since, Brunson has increased his WSOP win total to 10 and headlined nearly every televised poker broadcast. His lifetime success and career achievements are unmatched, but The Godfather of Poker isn’t done yet.
Doyle Brunson will make more history when he returns to PokerGO on October 23 and 24. “Godfather” week, featuring Brunson, Gus Hansen, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, and some of the world’s best cash game players from Bobby’s Room, will be the first Poker After Dark session in history to feature a variety of mixed games. Both “Godfather” week cash games will play a rotation of H.O.R.S.E. and 2-7 Limit Triple Draw, with $1,500/$3,000 limits and a $50,000 minimum buy-in.
“Godfather” week’s biggest names have made Poker After Dark appearances since last summer’s reboot, but they’ve been few and far between. Brunson played in the opening “The Return of Tom Dwan” cash games, while Cates made his Poker After Dark debut during “Rumble with Jungle” week. Hansen made a brief appearance during “Racks of Lamb” week and all three will be front and center for back-to-back games later this month.
Scott Seiver, Brian Rast, Nick Schulman, and Billy O’Neil round out both “Godfather” week lineups and information on both cash games is provided below:
