The 2024 PGT PLO Series II, presented by PLO Mastermind, and the Super High Roller Bowl: $100k Pot-Limit Omaha, presented by Vision GTO Trainer, have concluded from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Jeremy Ausmus extending his lead on top of the PGT leaderboard. He now holds a 735 PGT point buffer over Daniel Negreanu in second place.
Ausmus cashed four times at the PGT PLO Series II, but most importantly, he earned his first PGT title in 684 days after winning Event #7: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha for $288,000 in prize money. Ausmus also finished second on the PGT PLO Series II leaderboard behind Matthew Wantman, who earned 453 PGT points during the series and was crowned the PGT PLO Series II champion and was awarded a PGT Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport. Wantman now sits 42nd on the PGT leaderboard with 905 PGT points from his two wins and 14 cashes this season.
Negreanu was another player in contention for the PGT PLO Series II leaderboard on the back of winning Event #6: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha for $265,200. Negreanu amassed 366 PGT points from his one win and five cashes at the series, and now sits in second place on the PGT leaderboard with 2,054 PGT points from his three wins and 21 cashes this season. Seth Davies is now third on the PGT leaderboard with 1,855 PGT points after winning Super High Roller Bowl: $100k Pot-Limit Omaha for $1,500,000 - his second Super High Roller Bowl title of 2024.
Dylan Weisman reentered the top ten after winning Event #2: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty for $88,245 and $107,000 in bounties. He cashed three times in total at the PGT PLO Series II, and now sits ninth on the PGT leaderboard with 1,608 PGT points. He has four PGT titles this season and 17 cashes. Alex Foxen collected 378 PGT points during the PGT PLO Series II and is now 35th on the PGT leaderboard with 1,022 PGT points.
Ben Tollerene has now won the last two $25k buy-ins on the PGT, having won the Poker Masters Event #8: $25,100 No-Limit Hold'em finale for $510,000, and the PGT PLO Series II Event #8: $25,200 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship for $496,000. Tollerene also added a seventh-place finish in Super High Roller Bowl: $100k Pot-Limit Omaha to sit 16th on the PGT leaderboard with 1,319 PGT points.
Two players that have taken full advantage of both PGT PLO Series on the PGT this season are Finnish players Samuli Sipila and Eelis Parsinnen. Sipila sits 31st on the PGT leaderboard with 1,096 PGT points, and Parssinen sits 36th on the PGT leaderboard with 1,015 PGT points. Both players are unlikely to partake in any additional PGT events this season, but both could secure a place in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship freeroll once the three-cash eligibility rule is taken into account as there are currently ten players above them on the PGT leaderboard with less than three cashes.
