The 2025 PGT Bounty Blitz continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #5: $5,100 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Bounty. The tournament drew 59 entries, and Anthony Marquez leads the final six players.
Marquez experienced a fortuitous night and, through four bounty pulls, has already secured more than the first-place prize money. He found the top $40,000 bounty in the very first pull of the evening and later grabbed a $5,000 bounty and two $3,000 bounties. Marquez scored the final elimination of the night and will be picking another bounty when play resumes, where he will return with nearly one-third of the chips in play.
Marquez leads a final table that includes Bryan Swanson, Jason Hickey, Jeremy Becker, Andrew Ostapchenko, and Steve Zolotow. Incredibly, Becker is at his fourth final table of the series in five events and will be looking to match his victory in Event #1. These six players will return already guaranteed $10,500, while all eyes will be on the $50,000 first-place prize in addition to the bounties, 83 PGT points, and the Event #5 Bounty Blitz trophy.
The field of 59 entrants created a prize pool of $295,000, including $118,000 in bounties, and the final nine players earned a piece of the regular prize pool. The mystery bounty portion began with 12 players remaining, where Marquez earned five bounties, and Hickey notched the other one. The seven remaining bounties are comprised of one $25,000, one $15,000, one $10,000, one $5,000, and three $3,000 envelopes.
Andrew Lichtenberger was eliminated on the bubble for the third consecutive day when he got his shorter stack in and ran into aces. Drake Kemper finished in ninth place for $7,100, and Andrew Kelsall finished in eighth place for $8,850, before the seven remaining players converged on a single table. Craig Mason ran ace-queen into the kings of Hickey and was left with dust, and although he quintupled up on the next hand, he was soon eliminated in seventh place, while the six remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
