The Merit Poker presents Super High Roller Series Europe is on the horizon, with action set to begin August 23, 2021, in North Cyprus. The nine-event series has both no-limit hold’em and short deck hold’em events, and the headlining tournament is the $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl. The latest news sees GGPoker named as a co-sponsor alongside Luxon Pay.

The series is set to attract a variety of players, including some of the game’s top names. Of the group of players expected to be in the mix are Ali Imsirovic, Bryn Kenney, Christoph Vogelsang, Timothy Adams, Stephen Chidwick, David Peters, Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates, and Hossein Ensan.

Imsirovic is the current frontrunner on the PokerGO Tour presented by Guaranteed Rate leaderboard. Kenney famously took second in the Triton Million in 2019 and moved to the top of poker’s all-time money list as tracked by HendonMob.com. Vogelsang and Adams are Super High Roller Bowl winners. Vogelsang won Super High Roller Bowl III in Las Vegas for $6 million. Adams won Super High Roller Bowl Australia and Super High Roller Bowl Russia in back-to-back victories for a combined sum of more than $5 million.

Chidwick and Peters share in the fact that they are both U.S. Poker Open champions. Chidwick won the series in 2018, with Peters taking the crown in both 2019 and 2021. Riess will forever be known in poker history as the winner of the 2013 WSOP Main Event, but he’s also a World Poker Tour champion with a victory in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale in 2017. Dwan is a high-stakes legend who can be seen more recently in appearances on PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker.

Businessmen such as Paul Phua and Richard Yong are expected to take part and there could also be some more fresh names in the mix, with the likes of Ashkan Fattahi, Selahaddin Bedir, Abraham Passet and Robbie Toan anticipated participants. With the final tables of the Super High Roller Series Europe events scheduled to be streamed, there’s a chance the viewers from around the world get introduced to some new personalities within the game at some truly high stakes.

That’s just a big handful of the players expected to make appearances at Super High Roller Series Europe, with plenty more interest being shown.
