Nate Silver is a well-known author, statistician, political forecaster, and founder of FiveThirtyEight.com. He is the author of The Signal and the Noise: Why Most Predictions Fail – but Some Don’t. The book was published in 2012 and details statistics and probability in real-world examples. Silver worked as a consultant in the early 2000s before moving on to play poker to earn a living. Silver is likely most known for his work in politics, specifically regarding the 2016 Presidential Election. Although not his main source of income more recently, Silver still plays poker often and has appeared on PokerGO’s Poker After Dark.
