John Monnette has been playing for the better part of the last two decades but broke out on the big stage with bracelets in back-to-back World Series of Poker Events. His first was in the 2011 $2,500 Eight-Game Mix for a $278,144 payday. He won the $5,000 Seven Card Stud bracelet in 2012 for $190,826. Most recently, in 2017, he won the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship for $256,610 – the crowning achievement on a 14-cash performance at that year’s WSOP, and added his fourth WSOP bracelet at the 2021 WSOP in the $10k Limit Hold’em Championship. Monnette is originally from San Diego, but now calls Las Vegas home with his wife Diana and their two children.
