In Event #66, Josh Arieh sealed a memorable fourth career bracelet victory as he triumphed in the Rio for the second time in a fortnight to win the $10,000 PLO8 Championship for a top prize of $484,791.

As a dramatic final table played out, Arieh won heads-up against Danny Chang to win just under half a million dollars and perhaps most importantly further grow the belief floating around the Rio that the poker legend is not far off a place in the much-heralded Poker Hall of Fame.

In the Mini Main Event finale, Greek player Georgios Sotiropoulos sealed the deal by winning the final table of five from a dominant position to topple Japanese player Wataru Miyashita heads-up and win his third WSOP bracelet.

Worth a massive $432,575, the Greek player races up the WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard too in the process, a race that is becoming one of the most exciting ways to follow the closing stages of the 2021 WSOP.
